The Beyond Shelter program is in partnership with the Connecticut Coalition to End Homelessness and the Connecticut Department of Social Services designed to prevent the recurrence of homelessness. This program provides supportive services to assist in the transition from shelter to housing. Services may include education on landlord/tenant rights, life skills workshops, money management, assistance with food and furniture, and more. The caseworker provides up to one year of follow-up services to households leaving shelters and transitional housing programs and their landlords. Landlords can request other assistance as needed to resolve problems that threaten housing stability.
