Transportation

The transportation program provides transportation to Bristol and Plainville residents (see guidelines below). Transportation is provided Monday through Friday to and from doctor's appointments, shopping, and personal appointments, such as: banking, hairdresser appointments, and to local senior centers. 

    

     Bristol Residents:

  • Clients must live in Bristol
  • Clients must stay within Bristol limits
  • First pickup is 9:45am. Last pickup is 1:45pm. Return trip can be any time until 3:00pm*

Senior Center pickup:
Monday - Thursday 1:00 only
Friday: 1:00 and 3:00

  • All vans are wheelchair accessible
  • Annual fee is required, fee is waived if client has DSS CONNECT Card (please call the transportation coordinator for fees)
  • Clients must call 24 to 48 hours in advance for non-medical rides, medical rides will be given priority and can be booked earlier than the 24 to 48 hours' notice

 

     Plainville Residents:

  • Clients must live in Plainville
  • Clients must be a member of the Plainville Senior Center
  • Plainville residents can be transported to Bristol, Southington, New Britain, UCONN Medical Center, and Newington Veterans Hospital for medical appointments
  • Personal appointments and errands must stay within Plainville
  • First pickup in 9:00am. Last pickup is 3:00pm. Return trip can be any time until 4:00pm.
  • All vans are wheelchair accessible
  • Service donations are accepted
  • Clients must call 24 to 48 hours in advance for non-medical rides, medical rides will be given priority and can be booked earlier than the 24 to 48 hours' notice
